What You'll Do
As the Director of Construction & Purchasing, you'll play a key role in overseeing various aspects of our projects. Your responsibilities will include:
Managing Purchasing, Estimating, and Contracts to ensure accurate job estimates and cost-effective construction
Leading and mentoring a team of Field Managers and Purchasing Managers, including recruitment, training, and development
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance field operations systems and processes
Exploring new suppliers and vendors to improve cost efficiency and construction quality
Contributing to design and product selection, optimizing house layouts and design documents
Maintaining project databases, systems, and progress reports to track details effectively
Negotiating and managing contracts with trade contractors and subcontractors
Assisting in scheduling trades and ensuring efficient project timelines
Responding promptly to home inspection items and resolving repair issues
Creating and updating Purchasing and Construction Policies and Procedures Manuals
Taking ownership of renovation projects as needed
Supporting our expansion into new markets
About You
We're seeking candidates who bring expertise and enthusiasm to the role:
You have over 10 years of residential construction experience and at least 5 years in Purchasing
You've held a Senior Manager or Director level position in the home building or remodeling industry for 2+ years
Your communication and computer skills are top-notch
You hold a Bachelor’s Degree or higher
Your passion for innovation and efficiency is matched by your dedication to quality
