Division Controller- Jobs

Candidate MUST be fluent in French. This position will oversee the Montreal division

The divisional controller will oversee the divisional accounting & financial reporting, serve as an internal business partner and provide decision support to executive management.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

An employee in this position may be called upon to do any or all the following essential functions:

· Supervise accounting team members

· Manage all accounting operations including Invoicing, A/P, GL, and Inventory Accounting

· Prepare and publish timely consolidated internal financials statements

· Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes

· Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting

· Manage and comply with federal/provincial government reporting requirements and tax filings

· Support audit activities

· Assist with the development of accounting policies and procedures to maintain and strengthen internal controls

· Analyze and implement necessary improvements across the financial landscape of the business

· Other activities and special projects as assigned

· Strong analytical skills with a focus on details and accuracy

· A quick learner with a strong professional curiosity and exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving skills

· Professional demeanor with excellent interpersonal and communication skills

· Must be results-oriented and work comfortably in a fast-paced and fast-evolving environment and display strong organizational, time management and project management skills

· Highly self-motivated with the ability to remain focused and work with limited supervision, perform well under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and successfully meet deadlines

· Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

· Bachelor's degree in Accounting

· 10+ years of related experience, strong controller experience

· Experience in a multi-currency environment

· Fluent in French
