Job Description
Job Summary


Under limited supervision, perform advanced level services for Accounting Services, an outsourced accounting service for credit unions. Serves as a liaison for auditors and examiners. Working on-site at client locations or Aux headquarters may be necessary from time to time. Manages direct reports and credit union client relationships.


Major Duties And Responsibilities


  • Perform regulatory and financial reporting, including budget variance, delinquent loan reporting, key ratios, margin analysis, statistical information, etc.
  • Assist with development of profitability analytics on services such as loans and branches.
  • Monitor and maintain effective working relationship with clients and vendors, including periodic written, oral, and in person communication.
  • Develop and implement a system of communicating expectations, options available for staff improvement, and continual assessment of staff members and organizational needs.
  • Perform the production of month end activity including month-end close on allowance for loan loss, fixed assets/prepaid expenses, interest/dividend accruals, operating expense accruals, etc.
  • Develop and implement client onboarding process
  • Prepare client ALCO packages and participate in client recurring asset liability management meetings.
  • Continually look for process improvement opportunities.
  • Establish, monitor and enforce policies and procedures and internal controls.
  • Monitor system to ensure program is flexible, varied, and responsive to organizational growth and change.
  • Suggest and implement process improvement initiatives with clients.
  • Ensure adequate funding for staff development activities are included in the annual budgeting and planning process.
  • Lead client calls to review items such as outstanding issues, financial statement analysis.
  • Assist with development and presentation of analytic dashboards for clients
  • Assist credit unions with audits and exams.
  • Quarterly 5300 Call Report preparation.
  • Staff Development
  • Assist in identifying and creating best practices for all clients
  • Accounting Services
  • Review client reconciliations, financial statements, etc. to ensure accuracy. Responsible for client credit union communication between clients and Aux Team members.
  • Consistently utilize Monday.com to track client hours.
  • Assist with corporate projects.
  • Responsible for timely completion of expectations, coaching, incentive program and performance appraisals of both direct and indirect reports.
  • Assist with and/or prepare annual budgets.


Experience


Knowledge, Skills, and Environment:


Five+ years of similar or related experience. Financial institution experience required. Credit union experience preferred.


Education


A four-year degree with accounting, finance or related emphasis or 5+ years accounting experience.


Skill Set


  • Advanced Excel skills necessary
  • Excellent analytical skills, people skills, and self-direction.
  • Proficiency with accounting software, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Able to work and travel independently.
