Accountant - Construction Jobs

Our client, a large Construction company is currently looking to hire a skilled Accountant that comes out of the Construction Industry. The Construction Accountant will be responsible for managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records. The candidate must have experience in the construction industry, be proficient in QuickBooks, and possess the ability to independently run reports, verify transactions, and ensure the accuracy of financial records.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using QuickBooks.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and tax documents.
• Monitor project costs, budgets, and cash flow to ensure financial stability.
• Perform bank reconciliations and ensure timely and accurate processing of payments and invoices.
• Stay updated with relevant financial regulations and industry trends.
• Generate financial reports, analyze data, and provide recommendations to improve financial performance.
• Collaborate with the project management team to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes.
• Manage all financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Independently run reports, check books, and verify transactions for accuracy.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of construction accounting principles, including job costing and progress billing.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven experience as an Accountant, in the construction industry.
• Familiarity with financial regulations and compliance standards.
• Professional correspondence skills when dealing with third parties.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and advanced knowledge of accounting software.
