We are a rapidly growing organization in the Paramus, NJ area. We are seeking to hire a Financial Controller to join our progressive team of professionals. The ideal candidate will be responsible for but not limited to the following responsibilities:

Job Responsibilities:

Planning, directing, and coordinating all accounting operational functions

Managing the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of consolidated business results

Coordinating and preparing internal and external financial statements

Coordinating activities of external auditors

Providing management with information vital to the decision-making process

• Routinely communicate business unit and company consolidated financial and operational performance trends, historical and forecasted, using appropriate metrics. Suggest trends, resulting implications, key actions, and strategic implications.

Managing the budget development process and prepare detail business plans

Assessing current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement, and implementing new processes

Evaluating accounting and internal control systems:

• Develop and maintain the integrity of the financial reporting process and financial controls.
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls over financial reporting.
• Coordinate, develop and update written policies and procedures over the financial reporting process.

Evaluating the effectiveness of accounting software and supporting database, as needed

Developing and monitoring business performance metrics

Overseeing regulatory reporting, frequently including tax planning and compliance

Hiring, training, and retaining skilled accounting staff

Job Qualifications:

Proven working experience as a Financial Controller

15+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience

Degree in Accounting

CPA REQUIRED

Attention to detail

Problem solving and analytical reasoning skills

Communication and presentation skills

Numerical and technical proficiency

Knowledge of software

Management and leadership skills in an international environment
