POSITION TITLE
Project Accountant
LOCATION
Hybrid - Remote/Woodcliff Lake, NJ

OVERVIEW
The Project Accountant is responsible for issuing invoices, working out payment plans, issuing reminder calls, revoking lines of credit, engaging in collection activity, and referring radically overdue accounts to collection. Receives direction from the Budget & Project Controls Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Flip projects and assign billing terms on new projects
• Run project review meetings with technical teams
• Prepare and finalize invoices for Project Executives/Project Managers with Electronic Invoicing on a monthly
• Process and maintain sub-consultant agreements in Deltek Vision
• Prepare Electronic Deposits and apply daily receipts in Deltek Vision
• Prepare daily receipt log/daily report
• Review contracts and budgets in Deltek Vision
• Approve new sub-consultants and collect W-9 and certificates of insurance information
• Prepare Project Executive unbilled log monthly work-in-progress review
• Prints receipts for weekly management meeting
• Enters credit card transactions and wire transfers in Deltek Vision

REQUIREMENTS

• BS/BA degree in Accounting or Finance
• At least 5 to 10 years of experience with AR collection
• Desire to learn and accept new challenges
• Must be able to adapt to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands, and is able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.
• Must be proficient in Deltek Vision, including running project accounting reports
• Prior experience with government billing including but not limited to – DDC, OGS, NYS/NYC Parks
• At least 5 to 10 years of previous experience in the AEC industry
• Must be proficient in opportunities and setting up billing terms for new projects.
