Job Title: Director Strategic Sales – Freight Forwarding

Location: Dallas, TX

Salary: $100,000 - $150,000

Overview:

Attention all Solutions-focused Sales Professionals in Plano, TX! Are you an experienced revenue generator with a strategic outlook? Our client, a leading provider of transportation solutions, is seeking a Director of Strategic Sales to help drive their sales growth to sizeable revenue numbers within the next 10 years.

The ideal candidate will be a collaborator who can work closely with operations to develop and execute strategies for success. The majority of our client's business is in truckloads (LTL/FTL), with airfreight and rail freight also in the mix. Although, there is not much ocean freight at the moment.

Responsibilities:

• Negotiate contracts and close deals
• Develop and execute effective sales plans and strategies to meet revenue targets
• Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure customer satisfaction
• Prepare reports and present to senior management
• Identify and develop new business opportunities, as well as maintain and expand existing accounts

Requirements:

• Experience in consistently achieving sales targets
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good understanding of the freight forwarding industry
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
• Demonstrated experience in developing and executing sales strategies
• Proficient in MS Office
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills
• At least 5 years of sales and marketing experience in the freight forwarding industry

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of success when dealing with freight forwarders and carriers.
