Job Description

Type: Part-Time Employee (30+ hours/week, 100% Remote)

Base Compensation:Commensurate with experience

We are seeking a confident decision-maker that thrives in conflict resolution and seeks to collaborate with senior leadership to proactively identify and resolve potential performance issues. The Director of Human Resources proactively recognizes areas of need and is unafraid to initiate difficult conversations with personnel across the organization.

This person will collaborate with various stakeholders to align talent management efforts with organizational goals and objectives. A successful candidate will understand employee relations and business strategy and possess robust collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Mentor team leaders on effective personnel leadership techniques, communication, conflict resolution, and employee engagement;
  • Develop and implement strategies to support employee retention and career development, mentoring programs, and succession planning;
  • Develop and enforce company policies and procedures;
  • Make all decisions regarding retention, promotion, and termination;
  • Oversee the performance management process and set personnel goals;
  • Administer and continuously improve all HR functions, including onboarding, offboarding, compliance, recruiting, performance reviews, and compensation; and
  • Maintain knowledge of and ensure compliance with best practices, regulatory changes, and trends in HR, talent management, and employment law.
  • Manage personnel performance issues and implement and monitor corrective action plans;
  • Lead strategic workforce planning and organizational development;

Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of experience working in HR;
  • Acts with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality;
  • At least 1 year of experience in a leadership role;
  • Strong conflict management and de-escalation skills; and
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Technical Requirements:

  • Professional presence in online meetings (Microsoft Teams).
  • Fast internet connection and quiet place to focus to fully participate in video meetings and conference calls with clients and colleagues; and
  • Efficient, effective, and focused in a work-from-home environment;
