Job Overview
Roar Social is looking for an experienced and creative Director of Marketing and Brand Strategy to play a critical role in launching and growing this cutting-edge, Gen Z-focused platform.
As Director of Marketing and Brand Strategy, you will be responsible for developing and executing multi-faceted content marketing campaigns that drive acquisition, engagement, and retention. You ideate and create content across multiple channels, direct and write specifically crafted copy across various customer touchpoints, and engage with social media influencers for collaboration opportunities, if relevant to the company. To be successful, you should have skills in team leadership, communication, time management, writing and editing, and advertising.
The ideal candidate is an expert in messaging, storytelling, growth and scaling, and is comfortable working with creative teams. You will help articulate Roar Social’s company vision through a multitude of relevant channels, while tracking and optimizing campaign performance.This person must be an excellent copywriter, adept at both marketing copy, as well as having a keen aesthetic eye.
Reporting to the Head of Marketing, you will be critical in executing our marketing strategy through cross-functional collaboration, leading all marketing and branding efforts, creating collateral from ideation, and managing vendor selection for relevant projects. We are looking for someone who is both a tactician and strategist, comfortable working in fast-paced environments, and have the ability to quickly and easily pivot from one project to another when priorities change.

Stuff You’ll Work On
- Own all aspects of video production, and ensure projects are prioritized and on budget
- Analyze and report on the ROI of each campaign
- Continually liaise with the senior leadership team to solicit ideas from the company
- Maintain brand standards and key differentiation points
- Develop the content marketing strategy and work closely with the creative team
- Lead all aspects of virtual and in-person events & activations
- Create the voice, look and image for Roar Social, and ensure that voice is broadcast across all our owned and paid channels
- Direct and write specifically crafted copy across various customer touchpoints
- Work closely with external and internal stakeholders to prepare assets for marketing campaigns
- Engage with social media creator for collaboration opportunities
- Ideate and create content across multiple social channels
- Manage an ongoing content calendar, and craft and communicate brand voice, aesthetic, and mission on all social channels
Stuff You’ve Done
- Great organizational skills and project management to ensure campaigns are delivered on time and within budget.
- Mobile app and/or B2C marketplace experience is a BIG plus
- Experience in design software and CRM tools is a plus – Adobe (Premiere, Photoshop), HubSpot, etc.
- Able to develop and refine narrative structure, messaging, and copy for products and features
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment, and comfortable leading and taking ownership of projects or teams
- A strong track record of successful content campaigns that have led to increased sales and growth.
- A genuine interest in ideating and bringing a brand to life through creative work.
- Experience developing and delivering GTM plans, working with cross-functional teams to design and execute product launches, feature updates and partnership integrations
- Undergraduate degree in marketing, business administration, communications or related field, or an equally (or more) compelling collection of life experience
- Experience working with creative and PR agencies
- Proactive, self-motivated, detail-oriented, comfortable with ambiguity, and are eager to roll up your sleeves to get the job done
- 7+ years of experience in marketing, ideally within the technology and/or entertainment industries
- Up-to-date with the latest marketing and social media trends
- A great attention to detail.
- Strong experience in a role where you can demonstrate examples of content strategies you created.
- Deep understanding of the creator economy and their audiences is a plus

Base Salary: $95,000 - $140,000. At Roar Social, base pay is one part of our total compensation package. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on your skills, qualifications and experience.
