Director Of Communications - Healthcare Staffing

Fast growing and award-winning healthcare staffing company is seeking a Director of Communications to lead Gifted Healthcare’s public relations and communications strategy. This role is responsible for all PR related activity, reputation management, and internal and external communications that help meet our annual growth and expansion goals. Reports directly to the VP of Marketing.

Director of Communications and Public Relations

Responsibilities:

1. Work closely with the VP of Marketing to create and execute plans that implement best practices that inform and elevate Gifted’s brand internally and externally.
2. Execute all aspects of media relations, including proactive outreach, and fostering relationships with top-tier media, bloggers, and influencers to secure placements, particularly in healthcare and staffing industry.
3. Develop executive visibility strategy and drive implementation, including identifying, tracking, securing, and executing an annual calendar of events, awards, and thought leadership opportunities.
4. Produce high-quality written materials that convey Gifted’s corporate narrative including messaging platforms, press releases, Q&As, and conference speeches.
5. Amplify and extend the reach of strategic announcements and key narratives.
6. Develop strategies to ensure Gifted is strategically positioned with investors and other relevant stakeholders.
7. Extend the reach of Gifted’s brand through new and targeted media verticals.
8. Facilitate executive and spokesperson media training and preparation.
9. Ensure crisis response communications preparedness.
10. Plan and execute a strategic internal communications plan that reinforces company values and promotes transparent communication

Qualifications:

1. 5-plus year of communications, marketing or public relations experience (Preferably 7+)

2. Bachelor's degree in communications or marketing

3. Previous management or directorial experience

4. Healthcare industry experience preferred

5. Experience managing digital content

6. Proficiency with Microsoft Office
