Job Summary Statement:
The Director of Marketing Communications will be responsible for authoring and driving Global execution of our Brand and Product Communications Strategy for Dometic Mobile Cooling. We are looking for a strategic, creative, and entrepreneurial marketing leader. Reporting to the VP and Head of Marketing, Dometic Mobile Cooling, the Director of Marketing Communications will lead a team of marketers to execute marketing programs and drive overall growth and success through strategic communications planning. This person will take on a variety of responsibilities and play a leadership role on a small team in a fast-paced, fun, high-growth organization and will be key in building brand and team culture. Specific responsibilities include new product launches, promotional programs and vendor management. This leader will have expertise in communications and storytelling for a vibrant consumer goods brand, a passion for personal growth, and ability to lead a team to a common goal.
The position location is flexible but will require some travel to a home office in Irvine, CA – a Marketing and Product Design office for Dometic Mobile Cooling. Cultural fit is of utmost importance within a fun and energetic team all aligned behind a strategic plan.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
· Manage the business as an owner by developing the marketing strategy to build and enhance a lifestyle brand position drive top-line revenue growth and add shareholder value
· Drive strategy and long-term planning across a portfolio of Dometic’s Mobile Cooling products
· Lead communications for Global new product launches from conception through execution
· Drive inspirational briefing to motivate authentic and connected creative tied to our brand positioning
· Develop and execute comprehensive marketing plans, including developing innovative campaign concepts, trade programs, etc.
· Present with confidence to both internal and external customers.
· Manage communications team and provide coaching, development and strategic direction
· Have a strong understanding of the competitive landscape and be aware of new product launches and changes in competition, and anticipate market shifts to ensure compelling communications to our consumers
· Understand consumer behavior and drivers by reading online consumer reviews, and monitoring feedback on product categories in social media
· Develop and manage marketing communications operating budget
· Other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements and Qualifications:
The Director of Brand Communications must be an organized, creative individual, capable of inspiring others. Be able to build a strategic plan, communicate clearly and lead a team to deliver results. Desirable skills are:
Experience: You have either lead a team in a similar position or have been a strong second with experience in leading a team and successfully driving the overall business.

Professionalism: The Director of Brand Communications will be required to oversee a team and present to company leadership.
· Proven track record with growth trajectory in marketing, consumer goods industry experience highly preferred
· Experienced business and brand builder with a proven track record of leading multi-functional teams to grow sales, market share and profit
· Must be creative, resourceful, and decisive with strong problem-solving and team/consensus building skills across a variety of stakeholders
· Able to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines and expectations, and adjust quickly and effectively to change
· Creative & open-minded thinker that draws inspiration from inside and outside the category to develop truly unique propositions and storytelling
· Clear and consistent communicator that is able to influence at both the peer and senior level
· Experience launching products, leading cross-functional teams, setting strategic direction with strong organizational and writing skills
- Education: BS/BA in Marketing or equivalent experience.
- Work environment: General office environment.
- Physical Demands:Warehouse and Office environment; must be able to stoop and bend.
