Job Title: Director of Staffing - Legal Services Company
Company Overview:
Integreon is a leading legal and professional services company specializing in litigation, contracts, cyber incident response and creative design services. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Staffing to build and lead our staffing function, ensuring the acquisition and management of top-tier legal talent to support our expanding operations. This position will be responsible for both quick turn onboarding exercises for urgent projects (e.g., litigation and cyber incident response) as well as longer-term strategic placements of legal professionals in a variety of critical positions with Integreon’s clients.
Role Summary:
As the Director of Staffing, you will play a critical role in developing and executing talent acquisition strategies to attract, hire, and retain highly skilled legal professionals. You will be responsible for building a robust staffing function and establishing efficient processes for recruitment, selection, onboarding, and performance management. Your expertise in legal staffing, coupled with your leadership abilities, will enable you to collaborate closely with hiring managers and stakeholders to understand staffing needs and provide strategic workforce planning recommendations.
Responsibilities:
Develop and Implement Staffing Strategy:
- Strategy may be more around determining optimal design, timeline, partner and needed tech to build the exhaustive talent base.
- Leverage industry best practices and market intelligence to ensure the company remains competitive in attracting and retaining exceptional legal professionals.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to define staffing objectives, policies, and procedures aligned with the company's overall strategic goals.
- Track pay rates and market trends for all potential resources to enable effective and advantageous pricing negotiation.
Build and Lead Staffing Function:
- Implement innovative sourcing strategies to proactively identify and engage potential candidates through job boards, social media, referrals, and networking events.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external recruiting agencies, universities, and professional organizations to expand the company's talent network.
- Build an exhaustive talent database for temporary project attorneys, attorneys with specialized skill sets and language capabilities
- Build and manage a high-performing global staffing team, providing guidance, coaching, and professional development opportunities.
Recruitment and Selection:
- Assess candidates' legal expertise, experience, and cultural fit, ensuring alignment with the company's values and goals.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to define position requirements, develop job descriptions, and create candidate profiles.
- Lead end-to-end recruitment processes, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and conducting reference checks.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to make informed hiring decisions and extend offers to selected candidates.
Ownership of Onboarding Experience and Integration:
- Establish Integreon having the premier experience for onboarding and integrating short-and-long term project attorneys
- Coordinate with various departments to provide necessary training, resources, and support to new employees.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive onboarding program to ensure seamless integration of new hires into the organization.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the onboarding process, making improvements as needed to enhance employee engagement and productivity.
Performance Management and Retention:
- Develop and implement retention strategies to promote high levels of engagement and enthusiasm for transitioning into permanent employees.
- Establish performance management processes to monitor and evaluate the performance of the staffed legal professionals that embodies the same expectations as Integreon’s core teams.
- Collaborate with managers to develop a coaching and mentoring program for the staffed teams.
Required qualifications and skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. A Juris Doctor (JD) degree would be an added advantage, but is not necessary.
- Deep understanding of the legal industry, including various practice areas such as litigation, contracts, immigration, and intellectual property.
- Proactive and results-oriented mindset, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple hiring projects simultaneously.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in legal staffing or legal recruitment, preferably within a law firm or legal services company.
- Familiarity with legal talent acquisition strategies, sourcing techniques, and selection methodologies.
- Global staffing experience a plus
- Proven track record of successfully building and leading a staffing function, including managing a team of recruiters.
- Excellent knowledge of employment laws and regulations related to staffing and recruitment.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with hiring managers and stakeholders.
