Jefferson Solutions, the well-respected government consulting company of Jefferson Consulting Group, an award-winning woman-owned small business, is seeking a Healthcare Consultant/Director to provide ongoing support and assessment of the Bureau of Prisons’ overall healthcare system.

The Bureau of Prisons (BOP) is seeking a Healthcare Consultant/Director to conduct an overall three-phased assessment of health services quality, to include recommendations to standardize Agency programs under a unified national health care system cultivating a “Culture of Care”, and recommendations to effectively shift the collective BOP culture towards the humanization and normalization of the BOP as a health care system. All phases of this assessment are to be rooted in sound public health methodology and evaluated through this lens since employee safety/wellness, offender safety/health, and the community safety/health are inextricably linked. The areas of this assessment encompass critical functions that underpin BOP’s responsibilities to ensure the safety and wellness of BOP employees, BOP’s statutory mandate to deliver medically necessary health care and mental health services to federally incarcerated inmates, and to maximize BOP’s efforts to create a normalized environment and culture towards the humanization and normalization of the BOP as a health care system.

Qualifications:

• Have extensive experience evaluating and making recommendations to address healthcare systems, preferably correctional healthcare assessment experience.
• Ability to travel when needed.
• A minimum of a Master’s degree in a relevant field and a Medical degree.
