Director, Finance Business Partner

Overview

Responsible for a broad range of finance related responsibilities and acts as a finance generalist for one or more technology divisions.

Activities include short and long-term planning, vendor deal negotiations, contract management, and technology cost allocations.

Role

• Manages a team, conducts goal setting and performance appraisal processes, identifies and coaches top talent
• Translates operational metrics to cost drivers to inform planning models
• Partners with regions, product teams, technology providers and corporate entities to assist in developing, analyzing and validating new business opportunities.
• Assists with strategy and process improvements to ensure alignment with market objectives; proactively identifies ways to improve processes and executes agreed upon improvements
• Partners with technology providers to prioritize investments within approved funding targets
• Leverages the Technology Business Management [TBM] framework to understand demand for technology services and to manage product P&Ls
• Partners with Sourcing and technology providers to assess and execute vendor agreements, that range in size and complexity
• Develops flexible spending plans that may be triggered by sudden changes in global economic factors
• Drives divisional financial reporting (e.g., budgeting, forecasting, strategic planning, target setting)
• Provides financial insights to leadership, leveraging an advanced understanding of budgeting, long range planning and forecasting models;

All About You

• Experience consulting business units on risk and opportunity considerations, leveraging advanced analytical techniques as well as outside trends and events
• Extensive experience setting strategy for process improvement initiatives along with developing procedures for implementation
• Ability to oversee the completion of global, complex management reporting (e.g.. monthly financial results, quarterly forecasting, annual budgets, vendor deal analysis)
• A proven track record building internal and external business partnerships; develops and leverages key relationships in order to understand the needs and objectives of stakeholders
• A desire to understand the services provided by technology units
• Successfully embodies change management; executes corporate cultural initiatives, enhancing the support of an ever-evolving environment to fulfill corporate goals and objectives
