About the Role:
Transfix is on an exciting growth path, and we are looking for a Director of Enterprise Sales to help further accelerate our growth. In this critical management role, you’ll report to our Vice President of Sales Strategy & Management. You will manage and further build a small and growing team of enterprise sales executives (the hunters) helping them to grow their books of business by engaging, reengaging, growing, and closing new enterprise customers. You’ll work closely with our Operations, Marketing, and Product teams to ensure proper onboarding of new accounts and growth of existing accounts as we prepare to transition them to our Account Management team (the farmers). Finally, you’ll play an integral part in leading and supporting our business development, sales strategy, and sales execution activities.
A successful candidate for this role will bring a proven track record of successfully developing high performing sales teams. You have a deep understanding of shipper challenges, needs, and goals and understand how to deliver best in class brokerage services. You’ve reached and surpassed quota goals, and most importantly, have coached and developed a team of sales executives to achieve and surpass their individual and collective sales goals.

In this Role You Will
Coach, develop, and manage a team of sales executives to improve lead generation productivity, ensuring that the team is empowered meet individual and team quotas, interfacing with perspective customers as needed to drive sales
Develop a deep understanding of our offerings and services; ensure that sales executives and therefore customers are educated on offerings to ensure th
Hold your team accountable to own the full sales lifecycle and process, from prospecting to close to follow up and account growth, while properly ensuring that all activity and engagements are properly documented within our CRM (Salesforce)
Think creatively and stay constantly ready to pivot and evolve as needed; pick up the phone, jump on a call, and engage in the sales process as needed
Support and execute on our sales strategy and execution activities - evaluate, refine, and deliver our sales pitch and messaging at all points of the sales funnel
Partner with Marketing, Product, and Operations teams as needed to develop and align our Sales process and funnel through impactful outreach programs and inbound lead generation opportunities
Solve logistical challenges in a fast-paced environment to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of shipments
Support execution of day-to-day operations and shipments in a timely and proper manner in accordance with SOPs, Contract Terms, and Service Level Agreements
Maintain and further develop our fun, exciting, high-energy, and results-oriented sales team culture
How You Know this Role is For You:
You have 8+ years of experience selling brokerage services within the transportation industry, with 5+ years of experience successfully managing high performing sales teams within the freight, logistics, or supply chain space, with demonstrable track record of meeting or exceeding quotas and/or goals
You are passionate about empowering your teams to reach their full potential
You have a strong management philosophy and point of view, and can provide examples of how this has developed and worked to your success as a leader
You are innovative, strategic, agile, and creative in your area of expertise, and understand how to navigate complex and lucrative sales cycles
You are comfortable in a room full of inquiring executives; in fact, this is where you thrive
You are competitive and driven, but you’re enough of a team player to believe that there’s room for everyone at the top and that collaboration is the key to victory
You are energized by the idea of working within a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, constantly changing, scrappy growth environment

You have impeccable listening skills and strong communication skills. You love a phone call, video call, and you especially shine in person, but can you also write a well written and compelling email in a pinch
What You can Expect from Transfix
This role pays a base salary between $140,00-$175,000 per year depending on experience level, geographic location, along with commission based on team quota achievement for a competitive OTE, as well as Restricted Stock Units (equity) in Transfix.
