A Little About Us:


Under the office of the CTO, the Yahoo Platforms Engineering (YPE) team enables all of the Yahoo verticals to develop and deliver the best possible products to our customers globally with the highest standards. Yahoo’s Platforms Engineering organization creates modern, secure, and efficient software platforms to power all of Yahoo’s brands at scale. Within YPE, the Business Operations and Strategy (BOS) team is responsible for maintaining operational excellence. We develop and execute team strategy, create and maintain best-in-class processes and procedures, and coordinate cross-team priorities and initiatives to ensure the highest quality of service for our business partners and key stakeholders. As the Director of Change Management, you will partner with the Director of BOS and oversee several change management roles.



Responsibilities:


  • Lead Change Management professionals both inside and outside Platforms Engineering
  • Understand leadership needs and possible impacts on employees resulting from projects or business changes
  • Drive efficient adoption and post-change work proficiency
  • Build and develop the Yahoo Platforms Engineering Change Management team to encourage clear direction and high motivation
  • Develop and implement change management strategies that minimize employee resistance and maximize adoption for impactful programs and operational changes across Yahoo Engineering


A Lot About You:


  • Plan for and oversee the management and delivery of communications to meet diverse impacted role groups at various stages in their change journeys
  • Able to establish strong relationships, influence others toward common vision or goals, and align strategic goals with day-to-day activities
  • Create actionable change management deliverables based on change impact assessments, including sponsor plans, people manager plans, communications plans, learning and development plans, and more
  • Manage learning and development efforts with various stakeholders and subject matter experts to support the design and delivery of curricula and other learning resources
  • Demonstrated track record in applying change management principles, methodologies, and tools at business organizations
  • 6-8 years of experience in change management within large-scale, complex, global transformations and minimum 1 year experience managing other direct reports
  • Apply structured methodologies, tools, and processes to develop and enhance change management strategies, leading change management activities (including impact analyses), and tracking adoption; ensure entire Change Management team adheres to such standards and best practices


Preferred Qualifications (not required):


  • Change management certification (or ability to complete certification within one year of hire), e.g. through Prosci
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field; MBA or similar a plus
  • Previous consulting, corporate strategy, tech transformation experience
  • Experience working in a Change Management Office within a Program Management Office, especially in tech

The compensation for this position ranges from $150,380.00 - $327,025.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions, in addition to equity incentives. Yahoo has a high degree of flexibility around employee location and hybrid working. In fact, our flexible-hybrid approach to work is one of the things our employees rave about.
