Director – Executive Strategy And Communications

Artisan Partners seeks a dynamic, high-energy individual to partner with our Chief Administrative Officer and executive team in a broad role with a key focus on firm communications. The Director will act as a strategic advisor to the executive team, playing a critical role in support of highly visible, time-sensitive and business critical projects. Collaborating across all business functions, the Director will have responsibility for projects that fall under the leadership of the CAO.
The role will act as a trusted advisor to the senior leadership team, requiring a high level of discretion and the ability to concisely distill data and research for executive decision making. This person must be able to balance high priority, short turn-around projects with longer term research-based initiatives.
The Director must be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and will bring personal initiative and a commitment to quality to their work and the work of the team.
Location: San Francisco, CA
Salary Range: $150,000-$225,000
Specific placement within the provided range will be determined by an individual’s geographic location as well as relevant experience and skills for the role. Base salary is only one component of our total compensation package. Associates may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, which is determined upon Firm and individual performance.
Responsibilities
The candidate can expect to:

• Assist in the preparation of materials, content and data for annual publications including the annual report and sustainability report
• Create innovative internal programming and touchpoints for executive team engagement
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders internal and external to the firm
• Work with CAO to identify priorities and outline success metrics for ongoing initiatives and maintain regular reporting to measure success
• Coordinate regularly scheduled meetings on behalf of the CAO including agendas, notes, action items and management of follow-up
• Partner with the Human Capital leadership team, acting as a liaison to CAO as it relates to human capital related initiatives including, but not limited to social media strategy, board materials and preparation, and DEI initiatives
• Own and execute key communications functions to include internal firm communications, social media strategy at multiple levels, and assistance with PR requests and responses
• Work closely with Investor Relations function as it relates to preparation for earnings calls, roadshows and coordination of related presentations and meetings
• Assist in the research and management of global facilities projects in collaboration with Facilities team

Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess a high level of initiative. Additionally, the candidate will possess:

• CFA preferred
• Periodic travel can be expected
• Strong industry acumen, with at least 5 years relevant asset management experience
• Bachelor’s degree required
• A high level of discretion and exceptional listening skills with demonstrated experience liaising at the executive level
• Confident demeanor and collaborative approach, driving solutions in a multi-stakeholder work environment with shifting priorities
• Confident approach with ability to comfortably flex to a broad range of projects and deadlines
• Ability to understand and distill complex business information into clear messaging in both verbal and written format
• The ability to execute day-to-day tasks while maintaining a long -term strategic view on key initiatives
• Excellent written communication skills including experience executing internal and external corporate communications
