Essential Job Functions
Kirkland & Ellis is seeking an enthusiastic, organized specialist to support a variety of operational efforts for the Firm’s ESG & Impact practice in our Bay Area offices.
In this role, you will handle a variety of functions for the ESG & Impact practice, including practice organization and management tasks, coordination of special projects, marketing projects, research and writing as well as tracking and participating in ESG groups, webinars and conferences.
Essential Functions

• Lead research and writing projects on ESG- and impact-related topics, such as relevant data services and rating systems, climate change, biodiversity, human rights, and diversity, equity, and inclusion.
• Assist with organizing and maintaining training, client development, and other practice content, including in OneNote, the firm’s Document Management System, and the practice’s SharePoint site.
• Attend and report back on select ESG & Impact webinars and conferences.
• Assist with tracking activities of influential industry associations, NGOs, and other groups active in the ESG & Impact space.
• Drive forward special projects that further the goals of the ESG & Impact practice.

Education, Work Experience, Skills
Strong organization and communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with high-level attorneys, staff and clients of the Firm are a must. You should be able to work independently while making intelligent, informed decisions. We are looking for a true achiever with a drive to succeed. The model candidate will be self-motivated and a team player, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. They must possess strong project management skills, a very strong attention to detail and a professional demeanor, and have outstanding proofreading and communication (oral and written) skills; the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment; meticulous attention to detail; sound judgement; a general facility for learning new software; and a professional demeanor. A Bachelor’s degree is required.
