Director, Creative Strategy + Operations
The Director of Creative Strategy and Operations is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing and orchestrating the creative strategy and operational aspects of our brand's marketing initiatives. Reporting to the SVP of Brand, you will create and implement marketing strategies based on business needs and work cross-functionally to ensure all stakeholders are aligned, as well as report on performance of key initiatives. You will manage creative requests from brief to delivery – setting and managing project timelines, ensuring all departments stay on track for delivery, ensuring proper reviews and checkpoints with leadership take place, and working closely with partnering teams to consistently offer clear communication of project details.
Responsibilities:
-Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand marketing goals, target audience insights, and product/service features to inform creative direction
-Develop content and creative strategies with an emphasis on improving acquisition, retention and engagement
-Manage creative projects from brief to delivery
-Own the company marketing calendar and work cross-functionally to ensure company wide tasks, priorities and initiatives are tracked and organized in one place
-Provide clear creative direction, constructive feedback, and guidance to ensure the team's work meets quality standards and objectives.
-Streamline creative processes and workflows to optimize efficiency, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality creative assets.
-Manage resource allocation, budgeting, and project timelines to meet business needs and project goals.
-Oversee the development and maintenance of brand guidelines, ensuring consistency across all creative materials and touchpoints.
-Monitor market trends, competitive landscape, and customer feedback to adapt and refine the brand strategy as needed
-Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the effectiveness of creative campaigns.
-Analyze campaign data and provide insights to improve future creative strategies and campaigns. Present findings in weekly and monthly reporting.
-Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture that encourages creativity, learning, and growth.
-Expert in Asana workflow management system
-Lead status meetings with various departments to clearly communicate updates, changes in plans and foster a transparent workflow
-Act as a pro-active partner to the marketing and creative team
Qualifications/Experience:
-Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
-7 - 10 years of experience working in project management in marketing, communications or creative services
-7-10 years of experience working in creative strategy, brand management, or related roles
-Experience working in PM software
-Experience building scopes of work, writing project briefs, developing production schedules
-Strong understanding of direct-to-consumer marketing and the ability to translate customer insights into compelling creative strategies.
-Exceptional leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate, mentor, and guide creative professionals.
-Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate effectively across departments and with external partners.
-Proficiency in project management tools and software for creative collaboration and project tracking.
-Strong analytical skills and the ability to use data to inform creative decisions and measure campaign performance.
-Thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
The Salary Range for this position is $125,000- $160,000 per year, which represents the current range for the base salary for this exempt position.Actual salaries will vary based on factors including but not limited to location, education, experience, and performance. Please also note the range listed is just one component of the Company’s total rewards package for exempt employees.
