We are currently seeking a Career Services Manager specializing in salary negotiation (Part-Time, <2 hours per week) to join our team at Bootcamp2, the world's first career simulation. This role is fully remote for US-based candidates.
We believe that the world is broken: we have so many issues such as conflict, poverty, and climate change. But if we can tinker around with education for early-in-career technologists, then we can absolutely do everything else.
Bootcamp2 prioritizes student success by providing them with a community of fellow students, industry expert mentors, and leadership speakers who inspire them through their job searches. Bootcamp2 is backed by advisors who are execs in Silicon Valley, leadership speakers at the VP+ level at top tech companies, and the former General Counsel of the Co-Founder of Google (Sergey). We’re targeting a Seed round in the future and have gained traction in multiple spaces.
As our team continues to grow rapidly, we are looking for another Career Services Manager. This key hire will be responsible for supporting our students as they land offers at tech companies.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure timely support through Slack and other communication channels
- Create guides that include scripts and email templates for students to negotiate their job offers
- Provide live negotiation support to clients by participating in calls, offering contextual insights and real-time recommendations via chat without detection by the employer
- Provide tailored mentorship to students on a 1:1 capacity to learn about their goals and offer the appropriate support
Qualifications:
- Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and colleagues
- Passion for helping students succeed in their career goals
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to develop effective solutions
- Strong communication skills, with an ability to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner
- Nice to have: prior experience in the technology industry
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in salary negotiation, career coaching, or related fields
Reasons to get involved:
- Low hourly commitment per week
- Competitive compensation within the education industry
- Options for personal and professional growth in the organization, including full-time opportunities with equity as the business grows
- Join a team that will invest in your personal/professional development
- Make an impact on our students' future through education
- Pioneer the future of education
