Job Description
Overview:
The employee benefits coordinator position assists with benefits enrollment, verifies all insurance billing, maintains employee database, and files, and ensures compliance with required benefit notices.
Responsibilities:

Responsibilities:

  • Conducts benefits orientations and explain benefits self-enrollment system.
  • Assists with the administration of various employee benefits programs, such as group health, flexible spending accounts, dental and vision, accident and disability, life insurance, 401(k), and wellness benefits.
  • Prepare and set up meetings designed to help employees obtain information and understand company benefits and other related incentive programs. Ensure distribution of required employee notices.
  • Prepare and maintain required benefit reports.
  • Maintain employee benefits filing systems and ensure benefits changes are entered appropriately in payroll system for payroll deduction.
  • Administers the proper routing of all incoming benefits related communications from employees, regulatory and governmental agencies, as well as legal claims.
  • Other related duties as required.
  • Assist employees with health, dental, life and other related benefit questions.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
  • Knowledge of employee benefits and applicable laws
Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • Two years’ experience in employee benefits administration is preferred
  • High school diploma or GED required

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
