The Role

This leadership role will build and lead a best-in-class global logistics process and organization for AMD in the Americas / EMEA region. You will lead a diverse, global team which manages AMS/EMEA global logistics operations. Your contributions will positively impact the AMD bottom line and AMD’s customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Able to demonstrate a broad network of contacts in the forwarder community
• Work closely with partners, stakeholders, executives, vendors and customers across the enterprise to understand needs
• Build, manage, lead and grow a diverse and global logistics team;
• Establishes and measures KPIs, applies statistical methods and drives performance for on-time delivery and product quality.
• Role will be based in Austin Texas
• Innovate, inspire and lead the transformation of the AMD logistics program into a world-class, scalable and sustainable platform
• Deliver new and updated Logistics policies, processes and services across the enterprise
• Ensure compliance to Export Administration Regulations and all US and international trade regulations
• Responsible for all aspects of cost, quality and delivery required to achieve goals;

Preferred Experience

• Strong business acumen and analytical mindset; able to comprehend financial models of the business and able to think and act strategically in the interests of the whole business.
• Significant global leadership, at senior manager or above, in logistics management for a Fortune 100 technology company, with education, training, career-track and progressive background and expertise in Operations, Logistics, Supply Chain Management and Procurement.
• Experience in all modes of transportation and warehousing
• Experience managing import and export compliance, international logistics operations and trade regulations
• Demonstrated cost savings results in global network design
• Experience setting up and managing third-party logistics providers
• Strategic network design experience
• Strong leadership and communications skills. Excellent negotiations skills.
• Experience with a major forwarder or leading a logistics operation in the technology sector
• Ability to engage in collaborative problem-solving efforts with C-level management and external contacts.
