Description
Molex has an opening for an experienced Program Director in our Digital Technology team. As the Program Director, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing a portfolio of technology programs and projects within the organization. You will be responsible for enabling a program management capability in a manner that consistently delivers programs to expectations for scope, schedule, quality, cost, and experience. You will work closely with business partners, portfolio owners, project managers, technical leads, and other stakeholders to ensure that the portfolio aligns with business objectives and delivers to the needs of the organization.
This role is open to remote work here in the US, with a strong preference to work a hybrid scheduled out of our Lisle, Illinois, Rochester Hills, Michigan or Wichita, KS office.
What You Will Do In Your Role
- Ensure that project teams are following established project management processes and methodologies.
- Ensure that programs and corresponding projects are delivered to expectations of scope, schedule, quality, cost, and experience.
- Monitor program progress and provide regular status updates to stakeholders.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration between program and project managers and other stakeholders, such as business leaders and technical teams, to enable and achieve program expectations.
- Manage and oversee a portfolio of technology programs and projects.
- Manage program budgets, including forecasting and reporting,
- Lead and develop a direct team of program managers, project managers, and project coordinators to ensure their continued growth and fulfillment.
- In partnership with Digital Leadership and Portfolio Owner, actively manage the portfolio processes to ensure the contained programs and projects are prioritized, integrated, sequenced, and optimized to deliver value.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders across the organization; participate in strategic planning with Digital and Portfolio leadership for program design and delivery.
- Identify and manage program risks, issues, and dependencies.
- In partnership with the PMO Center of Excellence, further design and implement a program management & governance capability that benefits portfolio management and delivery.
- Develop and maintain program plans, budgets, and schedules.
- Collaborate with other technology leaders to further define, establish, and maintain project management processes and standards across the organization.
The Experience You Will Bring
Requirements:
- Demonstrated leadership skills, with experience managing and motivating project teams, including progress achieving project management processes and excellence.
- Experience with portfolio management and prioritization, including the ability to align project portfolios with business objectives and strategies.
- Demonstrated experience with project management methodologies, such as Waterfall, Agile, or Lean.
- Demonstrated knowledge of best practices in program and project management.
- 10+ years of experience managing technology programs.
- Demonstrated program financial acumen and experience creating business cases, defining program budgets & forecasts, and reporting.
- Experience managing vendor relationships, delivery quality, and contracts.
What Will Put You Ahead
- Experience implementing project management processes and standards across an organization.
- Experience with digital transformation initiatives, including product lifecycle management, manufacturing, supply chain, enterprise applications, or enterprise infrastructure.
- Project management certification such as Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), or similar.
- Experience managing large-scale, complex technology projects with multiple stakeholders and dependencies.
- Experience in the ServiceNow platform, specifically Strategic Portfolio Management (formerly IT Business Management).
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Information Technology, related business field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience in a leadership role within a technology organization, such as a Director of Technology or related technology function.
- MBA or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Experience leading global or distributed teams across multiple time zones and cultures.

For this role, we anticipate paying $170,000 - $190,000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
