The YCS Sawtelle Lawnridge Program in Orange, NJ provides intensive behavioral interventions for children, ages 5-21, with developmental and intellectual disabilities (including autism and co-occurring behavioral and/or mental health challenges in a natural, home-like setting. The program is currently hiring for Residential Assistants.

Program Director’s Duties Include (But not limited to):

• Provide care in accordance with the Manual of Standards for Community Residences for Individuals with Developmental Disabilities established by the New Jersey State Department of Human Services Office of Developmental Disabilities Licensing NJAC 10:44A and Circular 34 in conjunction with internal Youth Consultation Service guideline manuals.
• Serve as consumer advocate.
• Ensure program is in compliance with licensing agency requirements and oversee day-to-day operations.
• Be accessible to consumers and families.
• Coordinate and manage Consumer’s case; serve as a liaison between school, home and community.
• The primary purpose of this position to ensure the agency’s mission is met in the services provided to consumers and programming is meeting needs of consumers served.
• Develop, update and implement Individual Habilitation Plans and Essential Life Plans.

Requirements:

• Master's Degree
• Three or more years post M.A. experience working with developmentally disabled population, at least one of which shall be in a supervisory capacity
• Drivers License

Schedule:

• Monday- Friday (Some weekends required)
• Hours must be flexible (varies from 9am-5pm, 10am-6pm, 11pm-7am, & others)
