Our client is a global company specializing in the manufacturing and supply of industrial products for various applications. Their expertise lies in delivering innovative products that enhance operational efficiency and safety across a wide range of industries. They are looking for a Global Logistics Manager to oversee the activities of a team of logistics and packaging employees.

The Global Logistics Manager will manage day-to-day operations and administration and ensure accurate inbound and outbound logistics. This person will be a SME and support the overall company strategy by creating metrics and processes to deploy optimized logistics and supply chain operations.

Focus:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as procurement, production, and sales, to forecast demand, plan inventory levels, and align logistics activities with business objectives.
• Build and maintain relationships with third-party logistics providers and vendors to optimize logistics partnerships.
• Monitor KPIs and metrics related to logistics operations, maintain documentation, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Identify and assess potential risks in both inbound and outbound logistics and develop contingency plans to mitigate these risks.
• Manage and coordinate all aspects of international logistics to ensure smooth and efficient operations across multiple regions.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies, globally.
• Develop and implement global logistics strategies to optimize supply chain efficiency, minimize costs, and ensure timely delivery.

Skill Set:

• 5-10+ years of experience in logistics, handling, supply chain, and/or transportation. Must have global experience.
• Demonstrated ability to think quickly and proactively when faced with problems, with a solutions-oriented approach to work.
• Strong negotiation skills with proven experience with transportation contracts.
• Skilled at multitasking in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field and/or certifications, a plus.
• In-depth background in global transportation with expertise in logistics and deliveries, including the ability to adapt to new workflows and procedures.
• Proficient in managing projects with proven experience in leading teams.
• Understanding of transportation policies and regulations such as VAT, EAR, customs laws, and tariffs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skillset.
• Safety and continuous improvement experience is preferred, i.e., LEAN manufacturing.
