We are looking to hire an Accounts Payable Assistant in Salinas, CA. This is a Temporary Assignment (3 months) opportunity to join our accounting department.
Job Summary: The Accounting Clerk plays a crucial role in supporting the finance department and overall accounting operations. This position involves assisting with various financial tasks, including data entry, processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and maintaining accurate financial records. The Accounting Clerk will collaborate with other team members to ensure the timely and accurate completion of financial tasks, contributing to the smooth functioning of the organization's financial processes.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records, both physical and digital.
- Process and verify vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.
- Resolve invoice discrepancies and inquiries promptly.
- Provide administrative and clerical support to the finance team as required.
- Prepare and issue payments to vendors, managing payment schedules efficiently.
- Monitor and reconcile outstanding balances and transactions.
- Accurately enter financial transactions into the accounting system.
- Generate and send invoices to customers in a timely manner.
- Follow up on outstanding payments and communicate with customers to facilitate timely payments.
Requirements:
- Proven work experience as an Accounting Clerk or in a similar role.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Office Suite.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract, Temporary- 3 month Assignment
Salary: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
