Accounts Payable Staff Accountant -100% Flex hours, Remote (Must be California resident who can commit to one day/week onsite for training)

$30.00 - $35.50/hour

Opportunity to make a difference in the world as you support nonprofit at the forefront of creating educational equity in our community. You can make an impact as early as this week as you jump in to carry out the day to day AP needs of this bustling accounting department.

100% Flex hours, Remote (Must be CA resident who can commit to one day/week onsite for training)

Reporting to the Controller, you will bring the department current with AP processing while staying on top of daily flow.

You will:

• Coordinate and process all aspects of AP including vendor maintenance, AP data entry, approvals, proper codification, filing and AP aging analysis
• Oversee all vendor activities from purchase to payment to ensure proper coding and timely payment of invoices and bills.
• Post cash receipts and revenue recognition, post invoices, cut check
• Ensure timely recording of all company expenditures to help facilitate 10 day month-end close and tracking to budget

You have:

• Affinity for working for mission driven organization committed to creating equity in the world
• Proficiency on Google Suite, ERP experience; Salesforce +
• Accounting degree + and/or 3 years’ hands on experience; nonprofit experience +
• Intermediate skills on Excel – Vlookup, pivot tables
• Exceptional attention to detail with ability to manage and process high volumes of data
