Accounts Payable Coordinator Jobs

As the Accounts Payable, you are responsible for evaluating the food and beverage costs ensuring that they are at all times within the budgetary limits. The Accounts Payable will coordinate with managers of each department to ensure products are ordered and stored efficiently, assist with daily counts, and organization of storage areas. The Accounts Payable reports directly to the Finance Manager of the hotel property. At all times the Accounts Payable must be detail oriented and embody the MAMA Spirit.

Job Overview:

• Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted
• Processing of all vendor invoices received for payment in an accurate, efficient and timely manner, along with maintaining vendor records and relationships
• Support the company by optimizing our financial transactions and systems through performance of reconciliation of payments & customer accounts.
• Review invoices for accuracy, appropriate supporting documentation, and verify proper department approval
• Review invoices for appropriate documentation prior to payment
• Support other accounting & finance team members, inventory management, & cost accounting.
• Receive, process, and reconcile a wide variety of accounting documents such as invoices, employee reimbursements, credit card expenses, vendor statements, and bank statements.
• Charges expenses to accounts & cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports; recording entries.
• Other Duties as assigned.
• Ensure all month-end & year-end closing duties are performed with minimal errors.
• Participate in monthly closing as well as external audit engagements
• Prepare analysis & reporting as directed by leadership.
• Perform accurate invoice & general ledger data entry.

Qualifications:

• You have at least 3 years experience as in accounting or finance.
• Your attention to detail is second to none.
• You function well in a fast-paced environment and enjoy a challenge.
• You are passionate about Hospitality and are goal driven.
• Previous accounting experience in a hotel or hospitality environment preferred.
