In this role, it will be critical for you to match, batch and code invoices, resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and process checks. The Accounts Payable Clerk role is a permanent position based in the Salinas, California area. You can advance your career with this exciting opportunity.
Major responsibilities
- Manage department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it on a daily basis
- Manage the process of verifying, logging, and mailing checks, including expediting special handling
- Carry out daily processes and controls accurately and on time, and ensure compliance with company policies
- Sort, log, scan, and file invoices, checks, and other documents
- Assist the AP/Finance Department with administrative tasks
- Provide internal and external audit assistance as required
- Provide customer service to internal business partners
- Complete special projects on an as-needed basis
- Execute full-cycle A/P
Qualifications:
- Established communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds
- Prior experience in an A/P role preferred
- LEED Accounts Payable experience
- Check Runs experience
- Invoice Coding experience required
- Comprehensive knowledge of Batch Processing
- Accounts Payable (AP) experience preferred
- AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
- Strong organization skills with a sense of urgency and capable of prioritizing multiple tasks
- Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases
