Accounts Payable Associate Jobs

Our San Francisco client is seeking an Accounts Payable Associate to join their dedicated teams. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling invoice processing and working closely with the Accounts Payable Manager to enhance existing processes through automation. Responsibilities:

• Process semimonthly payments, which include checks and ACH payments.
• Establish and maintain procedural manuals for the accounts payable group.
• Handle bank transactions, including deposits, wires, and accurate recording of incoming and outgoing funds.
• Support staff accountants with research inquiries, journal entries, and expense analysis.
• Learn and manage all aspects of the accounts payable function.
• Conduct audits of employee expense reports and reconcile corporate credit card transactions.
• Collaborate with internal parties to obtain necessary invoice payment approvals.
• Enter data accurately in the fixed assets database and assist in further automating existing processes.
• Contribute to process improvement projects, including the implementation of a paperless workflow.
• Code invoices, including the allocations of legal and consulting invoices.
• Assist with tax filings, including 1099's and Use tax.
• Follow up on vendor and inter-office inquiries.

Qualifications:

• 3-4 years of experience in Accounts Payable.
• Experience with FAS or a similar fixed assets software program (beneficial but not required).
• Proficient in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business.
• Experience with SAP B1 or a similar accounting software program.
