Vp, Marketplace & Portfolio Insights

Job Summary:

Reporting to EVP, Research Insights and Analytics, this VP will be a key member of Disney Entertainment’s Research, Insights and Analytics (RIA) team focused on partnering across the organization to deliver strategic insights and storytelling that differentiates Disney’s content portfolio, identifies key competitive insights that fuel strategic decision making, and leverages portfolio insights to create new revenue opportunities and drive thought leadership with key stakeholders across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Communicate value of advanced measurement solutions for both Disney and its clients
• Guidance on measurement and data access requirements
• Negotiation support for new models, new deals and renewals with multichannel operators, tech platforms and wholesale distributors
• Synthesize syndicated and first party data, and translate it into meaningful and actionable insights
• Identify new solutions and technologies that allows us to create proprietary research library
• Portfolio-wide reporting, content-specific performance analysis, proprietary consumer insights, and strategic marketplace insights
• Be the voice of the consumer when building marketplace insights to educate the organization of the changing media landscape, consumer behavior, and cultural shifts
• Partner closely with the Platform Distribution COE in delivering:
• Build strategic plan for understanding competitors and their impact on our business
• Proactively seek out new and innovative ways to differentiate Disney from traditional and new competitive set
• Prepare meaningful and timely market and competitive insights, and interpret implications that help fuel our go to market approach
• Insights that differentiates and highlights the power of the Disney Entertainment and ESPN portfolio
• Identify business challenges and translate them into objectives that guide future strategic research initiatives

Qualifications

• Experience building presentations and developing narratives for executive audience
• Strong collaborator and ability to work cross functionally
• Experience in strategic advisory role (e.g. management consulting)
• Experience achieving success in complex settings and in matrix organizations
• Experience in global preferred
• Excellent personal, presentation, written, and verbal communication skills
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Statistics, or related quantitative field. Master’s Degree preferred
• Ability to communicate across cultures, with the ability to influence stakeholders
