Job Description
Location: Hybrid/Remote in the Washington, DC Metro Area (DC, MD, VA)

Us Citizenship Required

ACTIVE SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED (TS/SCI STRONGLY PREFERRED)

BlueVoyant, the makers of the industry’s only end-to-end internal and external cyber defense platform, has acquired 202 Group, a leading provider of data-driven supply chain risk management solutions to the U.S. federal government. This acquisition will combine the capabilities of BlueVoyant’s powerful cloud-native, third-party cyber risk management solution with 202 Group’s supply chain risk management solution to create a new offering, BlueVoyant Supply Chain Command™.

The technology group at BlueVoyant Government Solutions (BVGS) advances the state of the art of supply chain illumination and protection for government entities by:

  • Developing novel methodologies and techniques for identifying suppliers and risk
  • Bringing innovative risk management products to market; and
  • Driving efficiency and scale in the operations of internal risk assessment and illumination teams.

The group seeks an experienced leader to guide the development of new technology, develop the capabilities of engineering, data science, and application teams, advise the BVGS President, and ensure that BVGS technology efforts are synchronized with overall BlueVoyant priorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Bring a technology perspective to business development and partnership discussions. Ensure that business development and marketing messages are aligned to current or planned capabilities.
  • Influence the Product Roadmap. Serve as the final authority on estimating engineering and development complexity of initiatives proposed by Customer Success, Business Development, and other departments. Ensure that vital technology initiatives (i.e., security) are appropriately prioritized alongside client-driven feature requests.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the President and member of the management team. Represent the technology perspective in management meetings and proactively brief the President on technology considerations and trade-offs associated with any planned company initiatives.
  • Build secure and compliant IT and cloud infrastructure. Working with our compliance, cloud security, and endpoint protection contractors, ensure that BVGS remains compliant with applicable frameworks and take a proactive cybersecurity posture.
  • Develop the technology team. Mentor and develop the heads of R&D, Engineering, and Applications. Ensure that training and professional development resources are accessible to all team members. As part of the career review process, develop individual plans for upskilling key staff.
  • Prioritize and direct the Research and Development (R&D) program. Work with the Head of R&D to outline near- and long-term initiatives that develop BVGS intellectual property and increase our competitive advantage. Define and advocate for resources necessary to execute the R&D program.
  • Develop Supply Chain Command and other client-facing and internal applications. Serve as the product owner for the BVGS flagship client application. Ensure feature development is aligned with product roadmap and broader company objectives.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years in technology management
  • Advanced degree in data science, computer science, engineering, or a related field
