Vice President Of Technology - Remote

The VP of Technology will lead the growth and expansion of our technology practice. The VP will foster a digital culture, leveraging established and emerging technologies to drive our client's digital transformation goals. As a trend spotter, you will build networks and identify opportunities to enhance organizational effectiveness and improve user experiences with digital products. Your focus on human-centered solutions will ensure our offerings are tailored to end-user needs. You will be a strategic thinker, capable of identifying problems, developing innovative solutions, and successfully implementing them. Additionally, you will serve as a spokesperson, establishing credibility and trust in both government and non-government settings. With your experience in leading practice areas, you will build and scale our consulting teams, spanning business development, proposal solutioning, staffing, and delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Be accountable for building a pool of solution architects to lead proposal work and project delivery. Serve as a solutions architect and advisor on complex proposals and projects, providing guidance on technology choices, frameworks, and platforms. VP of Technology
• Identify and develop processes to improve overall operational efficiency and effectiveness, including addressing corporate technology and IT team needs. Utilize data-driven insights to drive necessary changes and optimize efforts.
• Remote - Bridge the gap between business problems and technology solutions, serving as an advisor to ensure alignment and successful outcomes.
• Provide guidance on our strategic direction, enhancing capabilities in emerging technologies to expand our service offerings and explore new frontiers.
• Engage in capture strategy activities, proposal development, design challenges, pitch deck development, and oral technical presentations to secure new business opportunities.
• Understand business objectives and goals, translating them into multi-year strategies, consulting offerings, and project roadmaps that align with our global business priorities and those of our clients.
• Enhance and grow our business in various areas, including digital strategy, human-centered design, Agile development, emerging technologies, data analytics, strategic communications, organizational development, and learning.
• Collaborate with the Executive Leadership team to set and execute the organization's strategic direction.
• Ensure adherence to architectural standards, quality benchmarks, policies, and technology processes for all internal and client projects.
• Mentor and train team members, supporting their professional development and career paths while promoting and supporting our corporate goals of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI).
• Develop a prioritization approach and roadmap for innovation, incorporating relevant processes, tools, and metrics to support business objectives and growth opportunities.
• Work closely with senior leadership to support business development efforts.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• At least 15 years of related work experience in progressively responsible positions, including several years in a leadership role focused on team development and management.
• 10+ years of consulting experience, with a track record of directing practice areas and teams in Agile software development environments. You should possess strategic thinking abilities and a successful track record in addressing business, product, and technical challenges.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience working with emerging technologies in a production environment, such as Artificial Intelligence (AI)
• Demonstrated commitment to open-source technologies and promoting code reuse where applicable.
• Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in the federal government or with government contractors, including familiarity with and application of the USDS Digital Services playbook and other relevant guidance (e.g., NIST security frameworks, 21st Century IDEA, USWDS).
• Strong technical expertise in modern software development techniques, such as Agile, cloud-native, serverless, DevSecOps, containerization, microservice architectures, automation, and product management. Experience working with teams and government clients deploying products using these technologies is essential.
• Exceptional technical skills, including hands-on experience in designing, developing, and implementing IT systems. You should be capable of translating these experiences into effective consulting solutions.
