Job Description

Our client owns and operates ~4500 units in the DMV. The portfolio consists of both market-rate and affordable A, B & C Class assets. They are seeking an organized and collaborative leader to lead the property management division. The VP’s direct reports will include multiple department heads, the director of operations and 2 regional property managers. The right candidate knows the industry in-and-out and is eager to come up with ideas and roll out new policies & procedures while getting the teams’ buy-in. The right person for this role should excel at gaining the trust of their team, communicating top-down messages to the team, and offering strong industry knowledge, guidance and mentorship. This is someone who thinks big picture, who doesn’t need to be the “doer”, but rather the high-level strategist who empowers their team to execute initiatives. Must be comfortable taking a seat next to C-level executives and bringing ideas to the table. Must have a strong track record of establishing accountability within a team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys implementing processes, tackling new initiatives and motivating/leading a team to hit goals.

• Experience in the D.C. market and a strong understanding of DC policies/intricacies is highly preferred.
