Job Title: Vice President of Production Management
Function: Steelwork and Engineering
Location: Buffalo, NY
Compensations: $115,000 to $140,000
Position Summary
This position is responsible for directing the manufacturing operations of the fabrication facility and for assuring the accomplishment of assigned objectives in safety, operating efficiency, product quality, cost control, and human resource management. This position reports direct to the Executive Vice-President.

Job Functions

• Prepare, analyze, and issue production and performance reports.
• Ensure an adequate maintenance program is maintained.
• Enforce standard operating policies and procedures for all complex steelwork plant functions.
• Oversee and manage consumable and maintenance purchasing activities and monitor inventory levels.
• Refine, implement, and improve plant operational and administrative policies and procedures and record keeping.
• Quickly research and resolve any manufacturing quality problems.
• Comfortable with interviewing, coaching, and counselling employees.
• Oversee and manage the daily day to day operations of the production plant and meet all shipment schedules.
• Develop and maintain high standards of personal and subordinate conduct to promote a positive management image and positive motivation throughout the organization.
• Lead problem solving efforts, coach team members in resolving conflicts and achieving results and provide guidance to under-performing employees.
• Assure compliance with all governmental safety regulations.
• Implement and maintain an effective safety program.
• Train and develop employees by ensuring proper training and mentorship and provide ongoing feedback.
• Overlook projects from design to manufacture.
• Ensure safety and efficiency of the plant production team.

Qualifications

• Proven success in delivering high quality projects on time and on budget.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements for operating plants.
• High attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with people from all levels and departments.
• Experience in Industrial and Infrastructure engineering.
• Ability to effectively communicate (written and orally) in English; Bi-lingual preferred.
• Strong analytical and planning and organization skills.
• 5+ years of plant operations experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Motivated, coachable, and able to follow instructions.
• Able and willing to work in all weather conditions.
• Ability to use computers and software such as Microsoft Office Suite.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred, Associates or relevant experience will be considered.
• Excellent integrity, good moral, strong character, initiative, and leadership.
