Objectives of this Role
NextBug is a new endeavor for goldbug that will identify and engage in new areas of growth and new communication platforms.This innovation hub will enable us to be nimble and experimental while partnering with internal team members to bring new ideas to market and accelerate business growth.
The VP of Business Development – NextBug will be a proven business leader with experience driving growth.This role will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and executing new business opportunities, and requires flexibility and breadth.A self-starter with an ability to envision, create, validate, and launch with both internal and external partners. Reporting to the Chief Merchandising Officer, you will work with the executive team and other leaders across the business to deliver profitable growth.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
·Research, develop and execute strategic growth plans for the company.
·Conduct analysis and consumer insights to discover & evaluate short & long-term opportunities that fit within our mission and goals.
·Research and evaluate new business models to determine strategic and financial viability.
·Work with finance to build business case, inclusive of financial models and KPIs, for new opportunities.
·Identify and develop plans to open new channels of distribution including: Ecomm, International, and new wholesale channels.
·Manage & commercialize projects utilizing internal and external resources including contractors, consultants and outside agencies.
·Execute consumer brand and product strategies.
·Work collaboratively and cross functionally with internal and external team members to plan, present and bring to market new business opportunities.
·Present and sell programs to internal partners and external prospects.
·Develop and maintain project plans, ensuring projects are on time, within budget, and true to initial strategy.
·Manage reporting and analytics across new projects.
The ideal candidate
·5-10+ years of experience in marketing or business development.
·BA required, MBA preferred.
·Comfortable in highly ambiguous, new space.
·Creative and strategic mindset with an ability to think broadly, refine questions, and develop frameworks.
·Highly innovative, intellectually curious, and a self-starter.
·Analytical and a thought leader with strong ability to influence.
·Strong presentation and project management skills.
·Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external partners.
·Ecomm experience.
·Effective communicator – both written and oral.
Other job Details
·Compensation Range: $100,000- $150,000
·Status: Full Time
·Location:Denver based; hybrid
