Vice President Of Manufacturing

Job Summary:

Seviroli Foods is hiring a Vice President of Manufacturing and Logistics. The position will oversee three manufacturing facilities in two states. The ideal candidate will have an engineering or industrial engineering degree and experience optimizing production lines.

Production and Manufacturing

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the production group
• Optimize production lines - lbs per hour, product yields, and energy usage
• Oversee manufacturing in all facilities.
• Spearhead development, installation, and commissioning of new production lines, production equipment, and factories
• Identify and address key issues that impact production, such as building and equipment and production scheduling.
• Manage and lead Production leadership to ensure they accomplish set goals and measurable objectives

Engineering and Maintenance

• Monitor the negotiation of service contracts for equipment related to production infrastructure.
• Lead or participate in cross-functional teams to ensure the continuous, ongoing improvement of processes, methods, productivity, and quality while reducing costs.
• Maintain good working relationships with outside contractors used for building repair and renovations.
• Create project budgets and timelines.
• Oversee necessary repairs to buildings and utilities, including plumbing, electrical, building structure, and roofs.
• Make determinations for equipment selection and negotiate the purchase price.
• Responsible for planning, designing, and ultimately completing all special projects.
• Review and analyze proposals submitted to determine if the benefits derived and possible applications justify expenditures.
• Provide direction on technical projects, including selection and design
• Responsible for ensuring all facilities and utilities are fully operational and in good working order.
• Oversee maintenance in all facilities.

Logistics:

• Manage the movement of storage of raw materials, work in process inventory, and finished foods from production to customer.
• Manage logistics, including inbound and outbound operations, including all fulfillment activities, warehousing, and transportation to the warehouse and customers.

Qualifications:

• 10 years of experience in a food manufacturing environment
• Proven track record for driving continuous improvement, increasing efficiencies, reducing costs, and implementing supply chain best practices
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems.
• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, Master’s Degree preferred.
• Knowledge of GMP in Manufacturing, Packing, or Holding Human Food and thorough knowledge of FDA and USDA regulations is required.

• Employ risk management strategies to drive improvements and reduce costs
