Job Description
Director/VP of Human Resources


The Director of HR collaborates with management to provide overall strategic and operational support. Leads the HR team to define, develop and implement HR solutions to optimize talent, improve processes and support business objectives.


Essential Functions


  • Provides support in organizational change, initiatives, and communication
  • Oversees the processing and maintenance of personnel records, benefits enrollment and payroll transactions; ensures compliance with applicable laws and regulations
  • Enhance existing company culture initiatives
  • Develops a plan and supports recruitment efforts
  • Drive all HR compliance efforts including, employee relations, trainings, and development of Policies & Procedures
  • Collaborate with Legal to ensure compliance with applicable federal, state and local employment laws and regulations
  • Collaborates with Senior Leadership Team to identify suitable candidates to fill vacancies
  • Develops, implement and monitor HR strategies: Performance Management, Employee Engagement, and On-boarding
  • Supervises the communication and administration of employee benefit programs consistent with negotiated agreements, and federal and state laws
  • Coaches, supports, and influences functional leaders, to direct groups in all HR-related areas
  • Supports succession planning of high potential talent with Senior Level Leadership
  • Supports broader HR projects when necessary
  • Assists Leadership on process of financial guidelines and reporting (Expense management, headcount and structure, wage impact, etc.)
SKILLS


  • Experience working in a retail and corporate environment
  • 15+ years of progressive Human Resources experience
  • Compensation and benefits experience
  • Must be self-driven and motivated
  • Experienced with conflict resolution
  • Ability to serve as a change agent
  • Must be people-oriented
  • Bachelor's Degree or Relevant HR experience
  • Requires knowledge of human resource principles, practices, procedures, and compliance regulations
  • Recruiting and retention experience
  • Must have managed a small team
  • Effectively manage multiple projects and timelines


Salary: $175,000-$190,000
