Job Description

Title: VP of Engineering

Location: Dallas - 4 Days in Office

Contract Length: 6 Months rolling

Brief Overview:

Forsyth Barnes are working with a large global custom clothes retailer based in Dallas. A new position has come available for a VP of engineering to step up and be responsible for the leadership of large teams of engineers and management for the company.


This VP of Engineering responsible for creating a technical roadmap by aligning the vision of the business with the technical framework to achieve that vision.


JOB Requirements:

  • Looking for a builder, someone who can help expand and grow the Engineering space
  • Looking for someone from the retail sector NOT Fintech or Biotech
  • Must have developed or published on the Apple or google play store
  • Looking for someone with experience with .NETlanguages Visual Basic .NET, .NET Core, Native iOS development such as Swift, Objective C, React Native, HTML5/CSS3
  • Experience managing IT servers, Help desk support, back office systems, and Applications, etc
  • Looking for someone with strong communication skills
  • This individual MUST have a strong technical understanding
  • Looking for someone who has begun their journey as an Engineer
  • Looking for someone who has an understanding of coding but is not a UI person
  • Looking for someone with strong Solution Architecture experience – as there is a lot of tech debt


JOB Responsibilities:

  • Reporting into the CTO and will sit at the leadership table
  • Will be responsible for looking after and supporting the application side of things - such as direct sales, as they have a lot of people facing applications.
  • Will be responsible for supporting with typical IT services such as servers, help desk support, back office systems etc.
