Job Description

Our Company, a promising startup specializing in B2B software, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced VP of Engineering to join our dynamic team. We have developed innovative solutions that help loan officers drastically reduce mortgage application rejection rates by up to 90%.


The Role

As the VP Engineering, you will play a pivotal role in driving our technical strategy and leading the development of our software platform.

Responsibilities:

  • Transition the company from managing offshore developers to hiring and training an internal Engineering team
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements, and proactively identify opportunities to enhance our software offerings
  • Drive the architecture and development of our B2B software, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security
  • Oversee the implementation of best practices, quality assurance processes, and agile methodologies
  • Lead the technology strategy and roadmap, aligning it with the overall business objectives
  • Lead and manage a team of skilled software engineers, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of high-quality software products.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, teamwork, and continuous learning within the engineering team

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
  • Experience with B2B software development and familiarity with the mortgage industry is highly desirable.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with security and compliance best practices in cloud computing
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation
  • Experience with building and leading Engineering or Development teams
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proven track record of successfully leading the development of complex, scalable web applications
  • Strong technical background with expertise in software development, architecture, and system design.
