WHO WE ARE
We’re not in the wing business. We’re in the flavor business. It’s been our mission to Serve the World Flavor since we first opened in 1994, and we’re just getting started. 1997 saw the opening of our first brand partner-operated Wingstop location, and by 2002 we had served the world one billion wings. It’s flavor that defines us and has made Wingstop one of the fastest growing brands in the restaurant industry.
Above all else – our success is largely due to our people and our core values, or what we call The Wingstop Way of being entrepreneurial, service-minded, fun and authentic. We believe having a strong people foundation centered on these collective values creates a crave-worthy culture and talented team, as well as ensures our brand is poised for accelerated growth. We all win together.
YOUR IMPACT
We are seeking an energetic and influential VP of Human Resources known for leading successful recruiting initiatives and driving results in a culture consistent with The Wingstop Way. A great VP of Human Resources comes ready to provide strategic HR guidance to the organization, build a strong and collaborative company culture, and attract a diverse group of hungry professionals as they develop into influential leaders in their own right. This person is a proven performer, unafraid to take calculated risks, and is fully aware of all that can be achieved when partnerships are formed and fed across all channels of an organization.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Administer required HR training programs (such as Compliance, Sexual Harassment, etc).
- Review annual bonus plans, analyzing compensation ranges with similar size companies.
- Develop and maintain Human Resource budget.
- Anticipate future changes to HR initiatives, proactively voicing potential impact and offering solutions to leadership.
- Develop and execute the overall people strategy, aligning it with the company's mission, vision, and strategic objectives.
- Develop results descriptions for all new Director level and above corporate roles.
- Supervise the completion of Federal and State reporting requirements and other governmental reports on an annual basis (including EEO1, 5500, 401k audits, new hire reporting, and quarterly filing).
- Collaborate with technology teams, making sure new systems are fully integrated and aligned with existing HR policies and procedures.
- Validate the Cost of Living index, identifying, and addressing potential discrepancies within the current pay structure.
- Review and negotiate Benefits options annually, making sure quality programs are offered while remaining within budget.
- Research and identify the best human resource vendors and carriers for Payroll, Benefits, 401k, Applicant Tracking, and Wellness.
- Drive talent acquisition efforts, partnering with hiring managers to attract and retain top-tier talent while ensuring a diverse and inclusive workforce.
- Develop Wellness strategies for Wingstop Franchisees and team members.
- Stay informed about industry best practices, labor laws, and market trends, implementing changes and improvements as necessary.
- Respond to all Wingstop Restaurant EEO charges.
- Develop Performance Improvement plans; provide coaching when needed.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and support to the HR team, ensuring the delivery of exceptional HR services across the organization.
- Develop and execute Performance Management and Succession Planning processes to recognize and reward top performers.
WHO YOU ARE
HUMBLE:You know first-hand the impact a great leader can have -- and are committed to promoting a culture that values and respects others with a customer-first mentality. You have a college degree with at least 10 years of HR experience and ideally a PHR, SPHR or equivalent certification.
HUNGRY:You are highly motivated and accustomed to achieving success. You are known for leading and motivating others, encouraging innovative thinking, and offering appropriate solutions that promote smooth and efficient operations. You are energetic and resourceful, ready to bend and flex as priorities and situations shift. Can thrive in a fast-paced environment.
SMART:You are a strategic thinker, naturally curious and able to dissect the profitability of business scenarios both short- and long-term. You have no problem focusing on high-priority tasks, while remaining current on other HR-related projects with competing timelines. You have strong organizational, analytical, and decision-making skills.
SERVICE-MINDED:Everything you do goes back to your genuine desire to serve the customer. Your ability to anticipate problems and provide constructive solutions in a calm, well thought out way has taken you far. You recognize the value of continuous learning and strive to create smart Succession Plans and Performance Improvement programs for Wingstop team members and Franchisees. Proactivity a must.
ENTREPRENEURIAL:You have strong business acumen and can easily tie Diversity and Inclusion back to company objectives. You enjoy leading and motivating team members to exceed customer expectations, while supporting the professional growth efforts of your team.
