Job Description

Summary:The HR Generalist is responsible for creating, updating and applying all HR policies and company guidelines and making sure they adhere to standards and laws initiated by authorities. Some of their typical duties include:


Essential Duties and Responsibilitiesinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.


  • Process and reconcile benefit invoices for company sponsored benefit plans
  • Process requests for employment verification
  • Maintain compliance with Federal and State Labor Law postings
  • Analyze timesheets in conjunction with the company attendance policies while tracking FMLA and /or a company approved leave of absence
  • Process employee benefits and act as a liaison for employees
  • Participate in annual projects such as benefit renewal, audits, company picnic, and other employee relations events
  • Run reports in HRIS
  • Act as witness during HR conversations with employees
  • Maintain Personnel files and I-9 compliance records
  • Maintain Personnel files and I-9 compliance records
  • Process and update personnel information using database applications such as UKG
  • Handle administrative tasks for onboarding, including background checks, initiating offer letters and scheduling new hire training.
  • Update and maintain the company’s time keeping system
  • Adhere to stated policies and procedures relating to health and safety, and quality management

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

BA in Human Resources; or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. The incumbent must have the ability to catch mistakes, make judgment calls on value added tasks, have the ability to identify tasks that can be eliminated or streamlined, and maintain process rigor. Due to the nature of the work, the incumbent must maintain total confidentially.
