Job Description

Reporting directly to the President, the HR Leader will serve as the HR business partner to the Hach leadership team. The HR Leader will have global responsibilities working with his/her business partners and HR team to establish and deliver a broad range of HR services to the organization. This includes supporting and driving strategic business decisions and providing leadership and direction in the following critical areas within HR: recruiting and talent management planning practices; engagement and retention; organizational development and training; compensation & benefits; employee relations; HR compliance, and general policy administration. Through the frequent use of important DBS tools, the HR Leader will drive excellence and value, leading to a highly motivated, productive, and engaged workforce.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Business Partner

  • Leads in developing standard methodologies and implementing policies and processes as applicable.
  • Responsible for key talent and management development including collaborating with leaders regarding team development and personal/professional development of associates.
  • Partners with management team globally to implement strategic goals, functional objectives, and ongoing continuous improvement of existing systems and processes.
  • Champions the Danaher Business System (DBS). DBS is the organizational culture that encompasses continuous improvement and policy deployment of strategic initiatives.
  • Drives core processes supporting performance management, associate surveys, recruiting and talent management.

Associate Relations

  • Travel required up to 30% - 45% of the time.
  • Supervises associate welfare plans such as retirement, leave of absences, disability benefits and other associate safety, health, and wellness services.
  • Leads associate relations including problem-solving, counseling, and coaching.
  • Leads compliance with employment-related local laws and conducts research into HR programs, policies, and employment law to recommend strategies, changes, or innovations where appropriate.
  • Accurately executes corporate policies and HR programs ensuring quality, delivery, and cost globally.
  • Leads the Associate Survey process including implementation of actions to improve employee engagement.

Qualifications

  • Technical expertise in the areas of associate relations, staffing; development; compensation; HR administration; and proven understanding of payroll and payroll processes.
  • Prior global experience with a geographically dispersed workforce, including remote managers and direct reports. Experience with European labor laws and Works Councils a plus.
  • BS or BA Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree a plus.
  • Continuous improvement oriented – has familiarity with lean and change management principles and how to apply them to HR
  • Track record of accomplishments in leading Human Resources at a local operating company site in a global matrix reporting environment.
  • Embraces and thrives with challenge and stretch goals.
  • Results oriented – has track record for delivery results, takes ownership and is accountable.
  • Hardworking HR executive with a minimum of 12 years of HR experience
  • Strong mentoring and coaching skills; able to manage and influence the team to drive the HR functions.
  • Strong process leadership and record of implementing initiatives across global sites and teams.
  • Additional professional qualifications will include, but not be limited to:
  • Acquisition due diligence and integration experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational, analytical and management skills.·Is a great teammate who recognizes the importance of relationship management and builds credibility through action and results.
  • Strong track record of driving impact and results in the business, ideally having partnered with peers and business leaders to drive accelerated growth.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, and understand the implications their actions and the HR function will have on the organizational demands of a rapidly evolving global company.
