Medexec is conducting a retained search on behalf of a <$1bn leading provider of medical equipment solutions growing at 20% YoY. They are seeking a Vice President of Commercial Operations to build a team and drive growth, structure and collaboration across the Business areas. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales operations, commercial excellence, marketing, and business development with leadership experience.
Location: East Coast or Central USA
Job Summary:
The VP of Commercial Operations will be responsible for partnering with all commercial aspects of the business, including sales, marketing, and business development. The role will work closely with the executive team to develop and execute a comprehensive commercial strategy that drives growth and positions the company as a leader in the industry.
Responsibilities:
- Holds ownership for the CRM and Customer engagement function
- Be partner to the marketing team to develop and execute effective marketing campaigns that generate leads and drive customer engagement
- Work between multiple Business Units to drive collaboration of commercial processes
- Develop and execute a comprehensive commercial strategy that aligns with the company's overall business objectives
- Manage and optimize the sales process, including pipeline management, forecasting, and sales analytics
- Develop and manage a high-performing commercial operations team
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and develop new business opportunities
- Develop and maintain relationships with key industry stakeholders, including customers, partners, and vendors
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in sales operations, marketing, and business development, preferably in the Medical Devices or Lifescience industry
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful commercial strategies
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field; MBA preferred
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with experience managing and inspiring high-performing teams
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail
