Job Description

The Vice President of Operations will plan, direct, and oversee operations activities such as field service, facilities, security, inventory, and production management within the organization. This person will work closely with the Operations team in overseeing the daily operational functions of the business.


They use their strategic decision-making ability and leadership skills to make sure the business is running smoothly, sustainably, and profitably to meet the current and future needs of the business.

This role will support both (IT/Engineering and Operations Field Service teams and report to the COO.


Job Duties:

  • Recruit, interview, hire, and train management-level staff in the department
  • Maintain knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in operations management
  • Identify, recommend, and implement SOPs and processes, technologies, and systems to improve and streamline organizational processes and use of resources and materials
  • Create and provide regular reports and/or dashboards for the senior executive team.
  • Establish and administer the department’s budget and forecasts.
  • Analyze data to establish, implement, and communicate the strategic direction of the organization’s operational functions
  • Collaborate with other divisions and departments to carry out the organization’s goals and objectives
  • Identify training needs and ensures proper training is developed and provided!
  • Establish, communicate, and implement operations-related policies, procedures, standards, and security measures to ensure effective and consistent support and execution.
  • Present periodic performance reports and metrics to the chief executive officer and other leadership
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and meet company goals while supplying expertise and guidance on operations projects and systems
  • Review and approve cost-control reports, cost estimates, and staffing requirements for projects.
  • Ensure that departmental decisions and project plans such as those for staffing, development, organization, material efficiency, hardware acquisitions, and facilities are in line with the organization’s business plan and vision

Requirements:

  • Lean, six sigma or agile methodologies and process creation expertise
  • Capacity planning and forecasting experience.
  • Knowledge of software such as Sales force, Asset Panda, route management software,
  • 7+ years of senior leadership experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Engineering, or other industry-related field required; MBA preferred
  • 12+ years of industry-related experience (i.e., field service, supply chain, inventory management, production, warehouse, fleet maintenance, and security management)
  • Excellent with Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel, Project, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio) or related software
