As the VP, you'll be responsible for overseeing all facets of our business operations. Your role will drive a continuous flow of product research and innovation, propelling the enhancement of existing offerings, seamlessly incorporating newly acquired product sets into our corporate assets, and seamlessly integrating third-party solutions with Harris' exceptional product lineup. As the inspiring VP, you'll be entrusted with motivating and leading a diverse team of talented developers stationed across multiple locations, working on a range of innovative products. P&L responsibility and precise forecasting for the team will rest in your capable hands. What your impact will be:
  • Provide detailed monthly briefings about the business’s results and quarterly updates on business strategy and profitability.
  • Capturing ideas and identifying opportunities that can be researched and explored for feasibility through contact with customers, initiating industry comparisons and conducting competitive benchmarking.
  • Responsible for the overall profitability of the business and ownership of P&L
  • Communicating strategy developments, providing ongoing executive updates, prioritizing initiatives, and escalating roadblocks to executive leadership.
  • Performing a full range of leadership responsibilities which may include but not be limited to: interviewing, hiring, coaching and developing employees, assigning and directing work, driving performance management and managing department budgets.
  • Ideal candidate must be an effective liaison between the customer base and the internal departments (i.e. Sales, R&D, Professional Services and Support Services).
  • Strategic planning, direction and control of product development activities and technical input into the overall business strategy.
  • Managing strategic partnerships with vendors and suppliers.
  • Continually evaluate the organizational structure and current technology to enhance productivity and implement appropriate changes.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Providing technical direction and guidance for all product development needs throughout the organization.
  • Candidate must actively conceive, develop and drive all critical product road map offerings to position the business for long-term success and minimize attrition risks from competitors who claim to have a more complete product.
  • Communicating industry trends and emerging new technologies that can provide the organization with a competitive advantage.
  • Ensuring that development delivery aligns with product roadmaps.
  • Translating business goals & product requirements into actionable development plans.
  • Communicating development progress and issues to management and across the organization.
  • Proactively fostering and building communication channels across business units to ensure collaboration and achieving organizational objectives.
What we are looking for:
  • Must be exceptionally diligent when expending financial resources.
  • Experience managing a multi-functional group with a minimum of 17 individuals.
  • Ability and valid visa to travel up to 50% to the US.
  • Ability to communicate technical vision/strategy in clear and concise terms discernible to non-technical personnel is essential.
  • Minimum of five years of general management experience, preferably in a vertical market software company.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be passionate about success and committed to leading by example.
