Job Description

Our Client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced executive to join their team as the Vice President of Fleet. This position is responsible for the development, planning, and management of our extensive fleet of over 13,000 pieces of equipment and vehicles. Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President of Fleet, the successful candidate will be a dynamic, multi-task oriented senior leader with a proven track record of driving operational excellence.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead strategic initiatives with suppliers, negotiate contracts/master agreements, and model total cost of ownership while fostering strong supplier relationships and integrating the supply chain.
  • Oversee warranty recovery efforts and interface with key suppliers for policy adjustments and new equipment extended warranty management.
  • Manage contracts and subcontracting services for multiple vendors across multiple states.
  • Make recommendations and implement procedures to ensure optimal and consistent maintenance performance across divisions.
  • Strategically plan, allocate, and distribute assets across business centers based on operational needs.
  • Provide leadership to the Operations Analytics and Standards team, overseeing day-to-day operational processes, purchase order and invoice processing, license and title management, and equipment documentation.
  • Monitor and analyze maintenance and repair costs, driving improvements in maintenance performance and leveraging predictive analytics.
  • Establish and enforce maintenance standards and procedures, track Maintenance KPIs, and collaborate with divisions to improve operational performance.
  • Collaborate with team members and senior leadership, including outsourced providers, to identify, develop, and implement standardization of fleet processes, systems, and cost mitigation strategies.
  • Develop and execute the company budget, ensuring accurate and timely financial analysis and forecasts.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of accounting and finance principles.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills, effective at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical skills and a demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement.
  • 10-15 years of progressive experience in fleet, supply chain, or logistics operations managing a large team across multiple states.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and other relevant software; adaptable to new and changing computer systems.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, capable of managing multiple activities and projects with competing deadlines.
  • Master's Degree required.
