THE OPPORTUNITY


Reporting to the CEO, The VP of Sales will sit on the leadership team driving sales through television, Internet, OTT platforms, and an inbound 365/24/7 call center. This business leader is a sales champion with experience increasing existing and developing new revenue streams. This senior executive is responsible for P&L management and will offer strong financial acumen to lead revenue, profit, and customer growth across linear and digital platforms. Direct to consumer experience is key with a proven track record of building and leading successful sales teams, driving traffic and conversion, and optimizing the customer journey. Using sales leadership, data, and execution, the VP of Sales will guide their teams to drive profitable business growth.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • You will analyze sales, call, and website data to identify trends, maximize opportunities, and find areas for improvement to convert leads to sales. This data will then be used to make strategic decisions about sales goals, resource planning and scheduling, merchandise and vendors, pricing, promotions, fractional payments, target markets, and product offerings.
  • As part of the leadership team, you will collaborate with other departments, including marketing, merchandise, product development, and operations to ensure that sales initiatives are aligned with broader company goals across multiple platforms including the company’s e-commerce website and 24/7 live.
  • By coaching, mentoring, and using performance management, you will hold the sales, merchandising, and customer service and retention team accountable for achieving individual and team goals.
  • You will oversee a team of sales directors, managers, and representatives to execute the sales strategy.
  • You will drive traffic and achieve conversion across all sales channels, including television, internet, OTT platforms, and e-commerce.
  • You will be responsible for managing the P&L for both linear and digital platforms.
  • As the Sales Leader, you will develop and implement sales strategies by creating sales plans, setting revenue goals, and monitoring KPI's to maximize sales performance across linear and digital platforms.



KEY REQUIREMENTS


  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, marketing, or a related field; Advanced degree preferred
  • Strong business and financial acumen to contribute to the continued growth of the organization
  • Ability to transfer knowledge of selling strategies and methods, as well as employee motivation techniques to existing sales team.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and present impactfully to multiple business functions and leadership levels with relevance and credibility
  • Proven track record in reaching sales targets and significant sales growth as a VP of Sales or similar role
  • Demonstrated skills in managing sales pipeline and converting leads to sales from addressable market to returning clients.
  • Poise and presence to lead, coach, and develop an inbound sales team and set a clear direction for their work.
  • 10+ years of experience in setting and executing sales strategy for a direct-to-consumer business, focus on luxury goods or fine jewelry a plus
  • Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills
