As the Vice President of Operations, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the exciting growth of our expanding hotel portfolio. We are seeking an engaged and authentic leader who is passionate about driving on-property success and investing in the achievements of our hotels and teams.
This role holds a prominent position within our Senior Leadership Team, allowing you to make a significant impact.
Responsibilities
Provide strategic leadership for our diverse range of hotels and resorts, including complex, full, lifestyle, and upper-midscale properties.
Support regional leaders and property-based teams to achieve outstanding results across all key performance indicators (KPIs).
Ensure compliance with brand initiatives and franchise standards.
Drive top-line revenue and optimize STR metrics to maximize owner returns.
Develop and oversee annual budgeting, marketing, and operating plans.
Serve as a key point of contact for ownership groups and brand partners.
Engage with local associations and participate in meetings.
Plan and attend monthly ownership financial meetings.
Collaborate with the business development team on owner presentations, providing operational expertise during the underwriting process.
Qualifications
A servant leader who prioritizes the success and growth of the team.
Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time, with access to airports in the vicinity. A valid passport is required.
Proven experience in multi-unit operations, working with renowned hotel brands like Hilton, Marriott, IHG, as well as independently branded hotels.
Proficiency in leading select, upper-mid-scale, large, and full-service hotels.
Demonstrated success in opening, transitioning, renovating, and turning over properties.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Strong organizational abilities with meticulous attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality.
Assertive nature with a talent for creative problem-solving.
Diplomatic and tactful, presenting a supportive, positive, and professional attitude.
Self-motivated, well-organized, and driven by results.
Willingness to travel locally approximately 50% of the time, with occasional out-of-state conferences or visits to partner hotels.
7-10 years of progressive hotel general management experience, including at least 5 years of Full-Service experience.
