The Position

The Vice President and Corporate Controller is a key leadership position that will be

instrumental in managing the rapid growth of Anomali through providing expert financial and

accounting expertise to the company while building a world-class team, infrastructure and

processes. This high visibility position reports to the CFO and is responsible for leading the

accounting, tax, external audit, and financial reporting activities and will implement the

technical accounting foundation, processes and systems to enable us to successfully transition

to the public markets.

Key Priorities for the Role

• Partner with the CFO, finance leadership and senior management to build financial

discipline throughout the organization and enable strong performance against strategic,

financial, and operational goals

• Manage accounting operations, tax, and financial reporting; direct the daily activities for

GL, AP, AR/Collections, revenue, commissions, payroll, and equity administration

• Lead annual financial audits and quarterly reviews, build strong auditor relationships,

and partner internally to support operational audits such as SOC1, SOC2, as well as

bank partner compliance programs

• Evaluate new technical accounting developments and recommend appropriate actions;

drive process improvement at all levels of the Finance organization

• Build and manage a high-performance team, actively participate in building a culture

that is customer-focused and team-oriented

• Prepare internal and external financial reporting, partner internally to prepare materials

for board meetings, investor presentations and industry trade shows

• Implement effective internal controls and processes to ensure the accuracy of financial

reporting, integrity of corporate data, and safeguarding assets

• Develop and implement financial systems and processes to enable rapid growth
• Support corporate transactions including equity & debt financing, M&A, and IPO

preparations

Qualifications & Experience

• 12-15 years progressive accounting management experience, including experience at

both a Big 4 accounting firm and one or more public technology companies

• Strong understanding of GAAP and technical accounting, with demonstrated revenue
• Ideal candidate will have significant industry experience in a software/SAAS business

recognition experience and track record of successfully developing new policies related

to changes in technical standards.

• Demonstrated experience implementing systems and technology to enable rapid growth

and scaling.

• Experience with venture financing, M&A support, IPO process
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, strong experience with Excel and related

tools, exposure to FP&A is preferred

• Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong presentation

Skills

• Track record of building and developing high performance accounting teams in a fast-

paced organization

• Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance and CPA
• Experience with SEC reporting and SOX compliance is preferred

Compensation Transparency

$220,000 - $260,000 USD

Please note that the annual base salary range is a guideline and, for candidates who receive an offer, the base pay will vary based on factors such as work location, as well as, knowledge, skills and experience of the candidate. In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for benefits, and may be eligible for equity.
